The ladder snapshot determines the captain slots. Players who finish high enough on their server receive captain status, then select three teammates from a substantially larger eligible ladder pool. The alternative route comes through regional or country-level 4v4 qualifiers.
Set 18 TPC players can be selected by captains, but only two are permitted on any one roster. Those TPC players cannot qualify for Set 19 Tactician’s Trials through Superbrawl.
How AMER qualification works
AMER will send 93 teams through ladder captain slots, with another three teams coming from regional grassroots events. Captains can draft teammates from the top 1,000 players included in the ladder snapshot.

APAC has the deepest teammate draft pool of the three regions. Its 92 ladder captains will be able to select teammates from a 2,000-player eligible pool, while four additional teams advance through grassroots competition.

The four APAC grassroots slots are connected to Vietnam, Korea, Taiwan and Thailand. Regional information will be distributed through DTCLeSportsVN.VNG in Vietnam, the TFT SOOP station in Korea, the designated Taiwan Discord community and the playtftth Instagram account in Thailand.
Why Riot is adding an official TFT 4v4 tournament
Tactician’s Superbrawl is intended to extend the meaningful competitive portion of the TFT season by roughly three weeks. Riot said competitors had raised concerns that the Tactician’s Trials season effectively finished too early, leaving late-season ladder play with less at stake.
The November event gives players who continue climbing in August, September and October a concrete qualification target. It also formalizes a 4v4 format that has already existed within the community. EMEA players may recognize the Superbrawl name from Rising Legends, where it previously appeared as a community event rather than part of the official esports circuit.
The team element also changes the competitive dynamic. Instead of qualifying for a standard solo event and playing entirely for individual placement, captains must build four-player rosters, manage the restriction on TPC players and represent their region as a unit.
