Wild Rift patch 7.3a nerfs Hwei, Rammus, Malphite, Caitlyn, Senna, Syndra and Yuumi, strengthens Samira, Tristana, Draven, Swain and Viego, slows jungle clearing, weakens Turret Plating protection, returns the Nexus to 4000 Health, and delivers a sizeable AAA ARAM hotfix.
Published on September 29, 2026, the update is the first targeted balance pass following patch 7.3. Hwei is the headline champion nerf, while several marksmen are adjusted after the recent critical strike and Attack Speed overhaul. Riot is also correcting some of the new jungle and structure pacing introduced with the larger patch.
Wild Rift patch 7.3a at a glance
The biggest Wild Rift patch 7.3a changes are a broad reduction to Hwei's damage, major improvements for Samira, stronger burst for Tristana and Draven, reduced Smite damage against jungle monsters, and less protection from the new Turret Plating system. Caitlyn and Senna also lose some of the Attack Speed efficiency that helped them after patch 7.3.
| Patch area | Main change | Practical impact |
|---|---|---|
| Hwei | Damage reduced across passive, Disaster spells and ultimate | Less poke, burst and finishing power as players become more proficient with his kit. |
| Samira | Higher defensive growth and stronger AD ratios | More damage and better survivability when diving into fights. |
| Tristana | Shorter Rocket Jump cooldown and stronger Explosive Charge | Better mobility, burst and critical strike scaling. |
| Draven | Spinning Axe, Blood Rush and Whirling Death buffed | Axes hit harder and offensive items convert into more damage. |
| Caitlyn and Senna | Attack Speed efficiency reduced | Both lose part of their sustained damage scaling. |
| Rammus | Lower Armor and weaker early Defensive Ball Curl | Early jungle clears and skirmishes become less efficient. |
| Items | Yun Tal improved, Harmony nerfed, Death's Dance costs more | Marksman, support and fighter purchase timings change. |
| Jungle | Smite monster burn reduced | Early and mid-game jungle clearing takes longer. |
| Nexus | Maximum Health 5500 → 4000 | Successful late-game pushes can finish more quickly. |
| Turret Plating | Temporary resistances are weaker and shorter | Teams get more reward for maintaining a successful siege. |
| AAA ARAM | Multiple Augments and two champion modifiers retuned | Several established Augment combinations work differently. |

What changes after Wild Rift patch 7.3?
Wild Rift patch 7.3a is primarily a correction to trends created by the larger 7.3 update. Patch 7.3 changed critical strikes, marksman items, Attack Speed, jungle progression and structure pressure. Patch 7.3a keeps those systems in place but adjusts the areas that are producing too much or too little value.
Dragon Lane gets a particularly dense set of changes. Samira, Tristana and Draven receive offensive help, Caitlyn and Senna are pulled back, and Yun Tal Wildarrows becomes a stronger early purchase. Viego also gains additional critical strike scaling after benefiting less than intended from the wider system update.
Jungle pacing moves in the opposite direction. Smite now burns monsters for less damage, and Rammus gets his own early-game nerfs because he has been clearing too quickly under the new system. Structure pressure is then loosened slightly by reducing post-plate defenses and reverting the Nexus Health increase.

The patch 7.3 trailer provides useful context for the wider marksman, jungle and battlefield systems that Wild Rift patch 7.3a is now tuning.
Wild Rift patch 7.3a does not introduce another overhaul. It refines the environment shown in the trailer with targeted numerical changes. More official champion previews, trailers and gameplay videos are available through the official Wild Rift YouTube channel.
Wild Rift champion changes in patch 7.3a
The Wild Rift champion changes in patch 7.3a cover 12 champions. Hwei receives damage reductions across four effects, Samira gets a broad package of durability and damage buffs, and the marksman adjustments continue with Tristana, Draven, Caitlyn and Senna. Rammus, Malphite, Syndra and Yuumi are toned down, while Swain and Viego receive targeted improvements.
| Champion | Direction | Main Wild Rift 7.3a change |
|---|---|---|
| Hwei | Nerf | Lower damage across passive, Disaster abilities and ultimate. |
| Samira | Buff | More durability and substantially higher AD ratios. |
| Rammus | Nerf | Lower base Armor and weaker early Defensive Ball Curl. |
| Malphite | Nerf | Lower Armor damage ratios and longer ultimate cooldown. |
| Tristana | Buff / adjustment | Shorter Rocket Jump cooldown and much stronger Explosive Charge. |
| Draven | Buff | Higher Q, W and R values. |
| Caitlyn | Nerf | Lower Attack Speed growth and late Headshot scaling. |
| Senna | Nerf / adjustment | Attack Speed scaling becomes less efficient. |
| Syndra | Nerf / adjustment | Passive upgrades take longer and Force of Will scales less with AP. |
| Swain | Buff / adjustment | Higher base passive healing and stronger Nevermove repeated damage. |
| Yuumi | Nerf | You and Me! provides less Healing and Shield Power. |
| Viego | Buff | Higher passive damage and stronger crit scaling. |
Hwei

The Wild Rift Hwei nerf is the headline champion adjustment. Riot says Hwei's performance has continued to increase as players master his unusually complex kit, with more improvement expected as familiarity grows. Wild Rift patch 7.3a responds by reducing damage rather than removing his range, control or spell flexibility.
Four effects are affected: Signature of the Visionary, Devastating Fire, Severing Bolt and Spiraling Despair. The result is lower late scaling, weaker AP conversion and reduced finishing damage against low-Health targets.

Signature of the Visionary
- Damage: 33-333 based on level + 33% Ability Power → 40-285 based on level + 30% Ability Power.
The passive starts slightly higher at the lowest listed value, but its maximum level-based damage falls from 333 to 285 and its AP ratio drops from 33% to 30%. The Hwei Wild Rift nerf therefore becomes more significant as levels and items accumulate.

Subject: Disaster - Devastating Fire
- Damage: 50/90/130/170 + 75% AP + 4%/5%/6%/7% maximum Health → 50/85/120/155 + 70% AP + 4%/5%/6%/7% maximum Health.
The maximum-Health portion stays intact, but every rank after the first loses base damage and the AP ratio falls by five percentage points.

Subject: Disaster - Severing Bolt
- Damage ratio based on Health lost: 150%/200%/250%/300% → 100%/150%/200%/250%.
Every rank loses 50 percentage points from the missing-Health multiplier. Hwei therefore gets less execution-style damage after already bringing an opponent low.

Spiraling Despair
- Explosion damage: 250/350/450 + 75% Ability Power → 200/300/400 + 70% Ability Power.
The explosion loses 50 base damage at every rank and five percentage points of AP scaling. Together, the four Hwei changes reduce damage at several stages of his normal spell rotation.
Samira

Samira has been underperforming across skill levels, with Riot identifying both burst damage and survivability as problems. Wild Rift patch 7.3a addresses both at once through stronger defensive stat growth and substantially higher Attack Damage ratios.
Base stats
- Health per level: 128 → 136.
- Armor per level: 5 → 5.5.
- Magic Resistance per level: 1.4 → 2.

Daredevil Impulse
- Minimum AD ratio for melee damage: 3.5%-10.5% based on level → 5.8%-17%.
- Maximum AD ratio for melee damage: 7%-21% based on level → 11.6%-34%.
The maximum ratio reaches 34% instead of 21%, giving Samira considerably more payoff when she fights at the close range her kit encourages.

Flair
- Attack Damage ratio: 110% → 125%.

Inferno Trigger
- Attack Damage ratio per shot: 40% → 50%.
Because the increase applies to each shot, a successful full ultimate repeatedly benefits from the improved scaling. Combined with her defensive growth, Samira receives one of the largest overall buff packages in Wild Rift patch 7.3a.
Rammus

Rammus is clearing the jungle too quickly under the new system. Wild Rift patch 7.3a reduces his starting Armor and early Defensive Ball Curl scaling while preserving the ability's previous final-rank Armor ratio.
- Base Armor: 45 → 40.

Defensive Ball Curl
- Armor ratio: 45%/50%/55%/60% → 30%/40%/50%/60%.
The rank-one ratio drops by 15 percentage points, but the final rank remains 60%. That concentrates the nerf on early clears and early skirmishes rather than late-game teamfighting.
Malphite

Malphite has been too strong across multiple positions. Wild Rift patch 7.3a reduces two Armor-based damage ratios and increases the cooldown on Unstoppable Force, limiting both his damage output and how often he can create a decisive engage.

Thunderclap
- Armor damage ratio: 20% → 15%.

Ground Slam
- Armor damage ratio: 45% → 40%.

Unstoppable Force
- Cooldown: 75/70/65 seconds → 85/80/75 seconds.
The extra 10 seconds at every rank creates a larger window in which opponents can contest objectives or start fights without Malphite's primary engage available.
Tristana

Tristana has fallen behind other crit marksmen. Wild Rift patch 7.3a front-loads more value into Rapid Fire, cuts Rocket Jump's cooldown, and gives Explosive Charge stronger base damage, bonus AD scaling and critical strike scaling.

Rapid Fire
- Attack Speed: 50%/75%/100%/125% → 60%/80%/100%/120%.
Ranks one and two improve, rank three is unchanged, and rank four loses five percentage points. It is a redistribution toward earlier strength rather than a clean buff at every rank.

Rocket Jump
- Cooldown: 22/20/18/16 seconds → 20/18/16/14 seconds.
Two seconds come off every rank, giving Tristana more frequent access to both aggressive jumps and escapes.

Explosive Charge
The old explosion formula was:
(80/100/120/140 + 100% bonus AD + 50% AP) × (1 + Critical Rate × 40% + (Crit Damage - 2) × 40% × Critical Rate)
Wild Rift patch 7.3a changes it to:
(80/110/140/170 + 120% bonus AD + 50% AP) × (1 + Critical Rate × 50% + (Crit Damage - 2) × 50% × Critical Rate)
Rank-one base damage stays at 80, but later ranks increase. The bonus AD ratio rises from 100% to 120%, and both critical strike multipliers move from 40% to 50%.
Draven

Draven's burst has been falling short compared with other marksmen. Wild Rift patch 7.3a gives him a simple offensive package: stronger Spinning Axe scaling, more Blood Rush Attack Speed and a larger bonus AD ratio on Whirling Death.

Spinning Axe
- Bonus Attack Damage ratio: 80%/90%/100%/110% → 90%/100%/110%/120%.

Blood Rush
- Attack Speed: 20%/25%/30%/35% → 25%/30%/35%/40%.

Whirling Death
- Bonus Attack Damage ratio: 130% → 150%.
The 20 percentage-point increase gives Draven more payoff from offensive items whenever he lands his ultimate, particularly when both the outward and returning passes connect.
Caitlyn

Caitlyn has been producing too much sustained damage without needing enough Attack Speed investment. Wild Rift patch 7.3a reduces her natural Attack Speed growth and lowers the upper end of Headshot's level-based value.
- Attack Speed per level: 0.04 → 0.025.

Headshot
- Level-based value: 60%-100% → 60%-90%.
The early minimum is unchanged, but Caitlyn loses 10 percentage points from the maximum. Together with the Attack Speed growth nerf, that cuts sustained damage and part of her later burst.
Senna

Senna has been overperforming since her previous Attack Speed restrictions were removed. Wild Rift patch 7.3a reduces how efficiently she converts Attack Speed into sustained output and attack windup improvements.
- Attack Speed ratio: 0.4 → 0.3.
- Base Attack Speed: 0.4 → 0.3.
- Base bonus Attack Speed: 0.6 → 1.1.
- Attack Speed per level: 0.05 → 0.025.
- Bonus Attack Speed now provides less benefit toward reducing basic attack windup.
The higher listed base bonus value does not make this a straightforward buff. Senna's ratio, base Attack Speed, per-level growth and windup benefit are all restructured to limit the overall value of Attack Speed stacking.
Syndra

Syndra has been scaling too quickly after recent damage improvements. Wild Rift patch 7.3a delays every Transcendent threshold and reduces Force of Will's AP ratio.

Transcendent
- Upgrade thresholds: 40/60/80/100/120 → 50/75/100/125/150.
The final breakpoint moves from 120 to 150, significantly delaying the point at which Syndra reaches her complete upgraded state.

Force of Will
- Ability Power ratio: 60% → 50%.
- Slow: 20%/25%/30%/35% → 25%.
The slow improves at rank one, stays the same at rank two, and weakens at ranks three and four. The AP ratio is lower at every rank.
Swain

Swain has struggled in the current burst-heavy environment. Wild Rift patch 7.3a gives him stronger level-based healing and more repeated Nevermove damage, although the Ability Power contribution to Ravenous Flock healing is reduced.

Ravenous Flock
- Health restored: 3%-4.5% based on level + 0.5% Ability Power → 4.5%-6% based on level + 0.2% Ability Power.
The baseline increases by 1.5 percentage points, while the AP contribution falls from 0.5% to 0.2%. The adjustment favors more reliable base sustain rather than heavy AP scaling.

Nevermove
- AP ratio of repeated damage: 25% → 40%.
The repeated damage gains 15 percentage points of AP scaling, giving Swain more reward when he keeps opponents inside the effect.
Yuumi

Yuumi benefits more than intended from the recent support item changes because the associated Health trade-off matters less while she is attached. Wild Rift patch 7.3a compensates by reducing the sustain provided through You and Me!

You and Me!
- Healing and Shield Power: 8%/9%/10%/11% + 0.02% Ability Power → 6%/7%/8%/9% + 0.01% Ability Power.
The base value falls by two percentage points at every rank and the AP contribution is halved. The direct nerf arrives alongside reductions to Whispering Circlet and Diadem of Songs.
Viego

Viego has not benefited as much as other champions from the critical strike system changes. Wild Rift patch 7.3a raises his passive damage and increases the amount of crit-related value converted by Blade of the Ruined King and Heartbreaker.

Blade of the Ruined King
- Passive damage: 2%/3%/4%/5% → 3%/4%/5%/6%.
- Crit Damage ratio: 80% → 85%.

Heartbreaker
- Crit stats ratio: 50% → 70%.
The 20 percentage-point increase is the larger of Viego's crit-focused changes and makes critical strike investment more rewarding after the 7.3 system overhaul.
Wild Rift item changes in patch 7.3a
The Wild Rift item changes in Wild Rift patch 7.3a affect four items: Yun Tal Wildarrows, Whispering Circlet, Diadem of Songs, and Death's Dance. Riot is strengthening Yun Tal as an early marksman purchase, reducing the effectiveness of the new mana-scaling support item pair, and increasing the price of Death's Dance without directly weakening its combat effects.
The most important distinction is that not every change is a straightforward buff or nerf. Yun Tal receives substantially more Attack Speed but a longer Flurry cooldown, while Death's Dance keeps its existing power and simply takes longer to complete. Whispering Circlet and Diadem of Songs receive matching Harmony nerfs.
| Item | Direction | Wild Rift patch 7.3a change | Practical effect |
|---|---|---|---|
| Yun Tal Wildarrows | Buff / adjustment | Base Attack Speed 25% → 35%, Flurry Attack Speed 25% → 35%, cooldown 20s → 25s | More immediate Attack Speed and a stronger Flurry window, balanced by longer downtime. |
| Whispering Circlet | Nerf | Harmony Healing and Shield Power 0.5% → 0.25% | Mana provides less bonus healing and shielding power before the item transforms. |
| Diadem of Songs | Nerf | Harmony Healing and Shield Power 0.5% → 0.25% | The transformed support item loses part of its mana-scaling sustain value. |
| Death's Dance | Nerf | Price 3200 → 3300 gold | Its combat effects remain intact, but fighters reach the completed item later. |
Yun Tal Wildarrows

Yun Tal Wildarrows has been falling behind other first-item options for marksmen. Wild Rift patch 7.3a raises its base Attack Speed and strengthens the Attack Speed granted by Flurry, giving the item a more competitive immediate stat profile.
There is one trade-off: Flurry takes longer to become naturally available again. The item therefore provides more power during its active window but has five additional seconds of base cooldown.
Base stats
- Attack Speed: 25% → 35%.
Flurry
- Attack Speed: 25% → 35%.
- Cooldown: 20 seconds → 25 seconds.
Taken together, Yun Tal provides 10 percentage points more base Attack Speed and another 10 percentage points during Flurry. That gives marksmen a stronger damage window after engaging an enemy champion, even though the effect has a longer base cooldown between activations.
Whispering Circlet

Whispering Circlet is being adjusted to match the nerf to Diadem of Songs. The item was introduced as a mana-focused support option that eventually transforms into Diadem after completing its Mana Charge requirement, so Riot is applying the same Harmony reduction to both forms.
Harmony
- Healing and Shield Power: 0.5% → 0.25%.
The Harmony value is cut in half. Because the passive scales with maximum Mana, support builds that accumulate large Mana pools receive less bonus Healing and Shield Power from the same amount of Mana after Wild Rift patch 7.3a.
The rest of Whispering Circlet's listed stats and Mana Charge mechanic are not changed in the 7.3a patch notes. The adjustment is specifically aimed at the efficiency of Harmony.
Diadem of Songs

Diadem of Songs has been outperforming competing support item options. Riot wants the transformed support item to be a more situational choice rather than the automatic option for a large number of enchanters, so Wild Rift patch 7.3a reduces the mana-scaling value of Harmony.
Harmony
- Healing and Shield Power: 0.5% → 0.25%.
The reduction mirrors Whispering Circlet. Diadem still rewards supports for building and stacking Mana, but every point of Mana now contributes less bonus Healing and Shield Power through Harmony.
Importantly, Wild Rift patch 7.3a does not list a nerf to Diadem's separate recurring healing effect. The published change is limited to Harmony, so the item's automatic healing mechanic remains otherwise unchanged in these patch notes.
Death's Dance

Death's Dance is providing too much value for its current cost. Rather than weakening the effects that make it an important fighter item, Wild Rift patch 7.3a increases the purchase price and leaves the rest of the listed item unchanged.
Price
- Total cost: 3200 → 3300 gold.
The extra 100 gold delays the completed item spike without reducing its actual combat strength once purchased. That can matter around recall and objective timings, particularly when a fighter previously returned to base with exactly enough gold to complete Death's Dance.
In practical terms, Death's Dance remains the same type of purchase after Wild Rift patch 7.3a, but players must invest slightly more before receiving the finished item's full value.
Wild Rift jungle changes in patch 7.3a
The main Wild Rift jungle change in patch 7.3a is a reduction to Smite's passive damage against jungle monsters. Riot says the new Smite has been providing too much early and mid-game clear speed, so its base burn is being reduced while item-based scaling remains part of the system.
Smite
- Damage to jungle monsters per second: 30-198 based on level → 22-162 based on level.
The reduction starts at eight damage per second at the low end and reaches 36 damage per second at the upper end of the listed scaling. The direct target is clear speed rather than junglers' champion-versus-champion combat damage.
Rammus is affected particularly heavily because the global Smite adjustment stacks with his personal nerfs. He loses five base Armor and early Defensive Ball Curl scaling on top of the slower Smite burn. Established patch 7.3 clear routes may therefore reach camps, Scuttlers and early ganks at different times in Wild Rift patch 7.3a.
Wild Rift Turret Plating and Nexus changes
Wild Rift Turret Plating is being made less resistant to sustained pressure. Riot says the plating system already does enough to slow continuous pushes, so Wild Rift patch 7.3a reduces both the strength and duration of the defensive bonus after a plate falls. The recently increased Nexus Health is also reverted.
| Structure mechanic | Before | Wild Rift patch 7.3a | Difference |
|---|---|---|---|
| Nexus maximum Health | 5500 | 4000 | 1500 less Health. |
| Armor and Magic Resistance after a plate falls | 30 | 20 | 10 fewer resistances. |
| Post-plate resistance duration | 20 seconds | 10 seconds | The temporary defensive window is halved. |
Nexus
- Maximum Health: 5500 → 4000.
This is a 1500-Health reduction and specifically reverses the recent increase. Once a team reaches the enemy Nexus, considerably less total damage is needed to finish the match.
Turret Plating
- Armor and Magic Resistance after a plate falls: 30 → 20.
- Duration: 20 seconds → 10 seconds.
A turret gets one-third less temporary Armor and Magic Resistance after losing a plate, and the protection lasts half as long. Teams that establish a safe siege are therefore better able to convert one plate into continued structure damage.
Wild Rift AAA ARAM changes in patch 7.3a
Wild Rift AAA ARAM receives one of the longest sections in Wild Rift patch 7.3a. Riot is retuning HEARTSTEEL interactions, adding compensation for a late Neverending Encore pick, limiting repeated Ethereal Weapon triggers against one target, partially reversing earlier Augment nerfs, and adjusting several more cards based on player feedback.
Direct champion changes are deliberately light while the wider AAA ARAM meta settles. Fiddlesticks and Nasus receive lower incoming-damage modifiers, while most of the patch targets Augments that were inconsistent, too frustrating to face, or weakened too aggressively in earlier updates.
| AAA ARAM change | Before | After |
|---|---|---|
| Rhythm Hunter trigger distance | 7 | 11 |
| Rhythm Hunter Steelbuff multiplier | 12 | 8 |
| Neverending Encore late-pick compensation | None | 180 stacks |
| Galestrike range | 8 | 9 |
| Cycle of Life shield ratio | 150% | 200% |
| Ethereal Weapon | No listed per-target ability cooldown | 1 second per ability per target |
| Duet cooldown per target | 5 seconds | 2 seconds |
| Metal Crown AD / AP | 35 / 70 | 30 / 60 |
| Metal Crown Armor / MR | 50 / 50 | 40 / 40 |
| Hextech Shrapnel amplification | 20% | 30% |
| Darkin Beacon tracking | Post-mitigation | Pre-mitigation |
| Stack One Up damage per stack | 8 | 12 |
| Accelerating Sorcery maximum stacks | 100 | 66 |
| Pinnacle of Perfection Critical Rate cap | 50% | 44.44% |
| Fiddlesticks damage taken | 90% | 85% |
| Nasus damage taken | 100% | 90% |
Rhythm Hunter
- Trigger distance: 7 → 11.
- Steelbuff multiplier per stack: 12 → 8.
- Visual effects have been improved.
Rhythm Hunter has performed very differently against melee and ranged compositions. The larger trigger distance makes it easier to activate from farther away, while the lower multiplier reduces how much each stack contributes.
Neverending Encore
- Taking the Augment in round five or later now immediately grants 180 stacks, equal to the stacks normally provided by six rerolls.
The change fixes an awkward HEARTSTEEL interaction. Taking this Augment as a fifth choice after collecting other HEARTSTEEL cards could increase the Steel Token multiplier while making remaining rerolls unusable. Wild Rift patch 7.3a compensates for those rerolls with immediate stacks. Extra rerolls can still be used if a sixth Rune Card becomes available.
The explanatory text in Riot's English notes refers to the relevant HEARTSTEEL effect as Infinite Encore, while the actual adjustment is listed under Neverending Encore. The published numerical change is the 180-stack compensation above.
Galestrike
- Attack range: 8 → 9.
This partially reverses an earlier nerf, although Riot says the Augment remains weaker overall than it was before the previous reduction.
Cycle of Life
- Shield ratio: 150% → 200%.
Cycle of Life receives another partial rollback. Its shield becomes stronger than in the previous hotfix state but remains below its earlier peak.
Ethereal Weapon
- Each individual ability now has a 1-second cooldown per target.
The updated Ethereal Weapon enabled a range of experimental builds, but repeated same-target interactions could become frustrating. The cooldown is tracked separately for each individual ability against the same target. Riot specifically notes that Blitzcrank can still continuously electrocute enemies for now.
Duet
- Cooldown per target: 5 seconds → 2 seconds.
Duet can affect the same target much more often, reducing its individual target downtime by three seconds.
Metal Crown
Metal Crown grants fewer stats after casting an ultimate:
- Attack Damage: 35 → 30.
- Ability Power: 70 → 60.
- Armor: 50 → 40.
- Magic Resistance: 50 → 40.
Hextech Shrapnel
- Damage amplification for the other damage type: 20% → 30%.
The 10 percentage-point increase improves builds capable of consistently alternating or combining the relevant damage types.
Darkin Beacon
- Damage tracking: post-mitigation damage → pre-mitigation damage.
Darkin Beacon now measures damage before defensive mitigation rather than afterward, changing how much qualifying damage is recorded against durable opponents.
Stack One Up
- Damage increase per stack: 8 → 12.
- The bonus damage cooldown is now affected by Ability Haste.
- Gaining stacks itself has no cooldown.
Each stack provides 50% more damage than before, while Ability Haste can now shorten the cooldown governing the bonus damage effect.
Accelerating Sorcery
- Maximum stacks: 100 → 66.
Pinnacle of Perfection
- Critical Rate cap: 50% → 44.44%.
- Conversion ratio above the cap: 150% → 444%.
- Maximum conversion cap: 305% → 400%.
- The Crit Damage cap can now be reached without Infinity Edge.
Pinnacle of Perfection receives one of the most dramatic numerical changes in Wild Rift AAA ARAM. Excess Critical Rate starts converting sooner, converts at a much higher rate, and can reach a larger maximum.
AAA ARAM champion adjustments

- Fiddlesticks damage taken: 90% → 85%.
- Nasus damage taken: 100% → 90%.
Both champions become more durable in Wild Rift AAA ARAM. Fiddlesticks receives another five percentage points of damage reduction, while Nasus moves from taking the normal 100% amount to a 90% modifier.
How to play around Wild Rift patch 7.3a
Wild Rift patch 7.3a changes several familiar damage breakpoints, jungle timings and siege windows. The fastest way to adapt is to focus on the specific moments where the new numbers change a decision.
- Recalculate Hwei's finishing damage. His crowd control remains available, but his passive, Devastating Fire, Severing Bolt and ultimate all provide less damage in important situations.
- Respect Samira's all-ins more than before. She gets stronger damage ratios and better defensive growth, so close fights can swing differently.
- Track Malphite's ultimate cooldown. Unstoppable Force has 10 additional seconds of downtime at every rank.
- Recheck Dragon Lane matchups. Tristana and Draven hit harder, while Caitlyn and Senna lose part of their sustained scaling.
- Expect slower jungle clears. Smite deals less damage to monsters, potentially changing first-recall, Scuttler, gank and objective timings.
- Be especially careful with old Rammus routes. His individual Armor nerfs stack with the global Smite reduction.
- Continue safe turret pushes more aggressively. Post-plate defenses are weaker and last only 10 seconds.
- Remember that the Nexus has 1500 less Health. A single late-game opening can now convert into an ending more quickly.
- Review AAA ARAM Augments before relying on old combinations. Several important caps, ranges, cooldowns and conversions have changed.
Which roles are most affected by Wild Rift 7.3a?
Dragon Lane and jungle have the broadest changes in Wild Rift patch 7.3a. Five marksmen or marksman-adjacent champions are directly affected by the recent crit and Attack Speed ecosystem, while every jungler feels the reduced Smite monster burn.
| Role or area | Most relevant changes | What to review |
|---|---|---|
| Dragon Lane | Samira, Tristana, Draven, Caitlyn and Senna | Damage breakpoints, Attack Speed scaling and first-item choices. |
| Jungle | Smite, Rammus and Viego | Clear routes, first rotations and crit options. |
| Mid Lane | Hwei, Syndra and Swain | Combo damage and scaling thresholds. |
| Baron Lane | Malphite and Death's Dance | Ultimate windows and fighter purchase timings. |
| Support | Yuumi, Whispering Circlet and Diadem of Songs | Healing and shielding efficiency. |
| All lanes | Turret Plating and Nexus | How aggressively lane pressure can become structure damage. |
| AAA ARAM | Augment hotfix and champion modifiers | Existing Augment combinations and crit-conversion setups. |

What changed in Wild Rift AAA ARAM?
Wild Rift AAA ARAM changes Rhythm Hunter, Neverending Encore, Galestrike, Cycle of Life, Ethereal Weapon, Duet, Metal Crown, Hextech Shrapnel, Darkin Beacon, Stack One Up, Accelerating Sorcery and Pinnacle of Perfection. Fiddlesticks and Nasus also receive lower incoming-damage modifiers.
What to watch as the Wild Rift patch 7.3a meta settles
Wild Rift patch 7.3a is a smaller update than 7.3, but it reaches nearly every stage of a match. Hwei's damage is reduced across multiple effects, Samira gains both survivability and offensive scaling, Tristana and Draven receive meaningful damage improvements, and Caitlyn and Senna lose some of the efficiency they gained from the recent marksman environment.
The system changes may have an equally visible effect. Reduced Smite damage can change early jungle tempo, while weaker Turret Plating defenses and a 4000-Health Nexus make successful pressure easier to convert into structures and eventually the game itself.
AAA ARAM players have the longest list of individual interactions to relearn. HEARTSTEEL compensation, Ethereal Weapon's per-target cooldown, Stack One Up's revised scaling and Pinnacle of Perfection's crit conversion can all change familiar builds. Riot says it will continue monitoring the mode, so additional tuning may follow as Wild Rift patch 7.3a develops.
