G2 gradually changed the game through disciplined objective play. Hans Sama built a significant individual gold lead, while G2 used pressure in the side lanes to create openings around dragons and team fights. A series of coordinated engagements allowed G2 to take control of the map and eventually break through KOI's base.
The turning point came as KOI repeatedly committed to fights without all of its resources available. G2 punished those openings, secured objectives and kept all five members alive through several crucial engagements before closing out the first game.
Once G2 had recovered the momentum, KOI struggled to recreate the early-game impact that had given them their initial lead.
Game 2 puts G2 one win from the title
The second game was far more controlled from G2. Their bot lane generated substantial pressure, while Caps and BrokenBlade repeatedly created threats elsewhere on the map.
G2 established a large gold advantage during the middle of the game and used their stronger map position to secure objectives. KOI attempted to find catches through Jojo's engage tools, but G2's composition repeatedly had answers to those attempts.
With Baron secured and their lead approaching double digits, G2 pushed deep into KOI's territory. Another successful fight opened the route toward the Nexus and gave G2 a 2-0 series lead.
Game 3 seals the LEC Summer championship
KOI needed to win three consecutive games to reverse the series, but G2 quickly put the final map under pressure. Early exchanges around the bottom side produced kills on both teams, although G2 continued to create opportunities through coordinated aggression.
BrokenBlade's side-lane pressure and SkewMond's ability to initiate fights helped G2 maintain control. Caps also found opportunities to threaten KOI's backline, forcing the defending team to play around multiple points of pressure.
As G2's gold lead grew, KOI's attempts to engage became increasingly difficult to execute. G2 won another major team fight, moved onto Baron and used the resulting pressure to push through the remaining defenses.
