Late 2026 products come first
Before the 2027 slate begins, Riftbound still has several 2026 releases and event products to move through. The update covers Secret Garden, the T1 champion products, Gift of the Rift and Radiance, making it one of the densest product roadmaps the game has received.
Secret Garden expands through selected events
Secret Garden is an Unleashed-linked alternate art product built around Lillia, Bashful Bloom, Ivern, Green Father, Ultrasoft Poro and forest-themed accessories. It was available at Gen Con and is planned for more selected events, including RQ Barcelona, RQ Singapore, PAX West and RQ Los Angeles, with more events still to be named.

|---|---|
| Alternate art cards | 3, Ivern, Lillia and Ultrasoft Poro |
| Alternate art double-sided tokens | 5 |
| Sleeve packs | 2 |
| Full-art postcards | 2 |
| Unleashed boosters | 3 |
| English price | $70 |
T1 drawing dates are now clearer
The English-language T1 Worlds Signature Set drawing sign-up is planned for Aug. 14-17. The T1 Worlds Champion Player Bundle is now planned as a separate drawing in October because of printing timelines and logistics.
The product line honors T1’s 2025 League of Legends World Championship win with player-linked champion cards. The earlier product breakdown listed Doran with Ambessa, Oner with Xin Zhao, Faker with Galio, Gumayusi with Miss Fortune and Keria with Seraphine.

Gift of the Rift arrives for the holidays
Gift of the Rift is a first-year celebration bundle scheduled for Dec. 4, 2026, through local game stores and mass retailers. The product will be available in English and Chinese, with the English version carrying an exclusive alt-art Akali promo and the Chinese version receiving its own exclusive Kennen promo.

- 16 booster packs, with three each from Origins, Spiritforged, Unleashed and Vendetta, plus four Radiance boosters
- 36 foil-treated Runes, six of each Basic Rune
- One alt-art Akali promo in the English version
- 100 sleeves using the Akali promo art
- One 2,000-card storage box
Radiance closes 2026 with new Legends and an Ultimate Rare
Radiance remains the final numbered Riftbound set of 2026. Its previews begin at RQ Los Angeles, which runs Sept. 25-27, then continue through Oct. 9. The Pre-Rift window is Oct. 16-22, and the full release is set for Oct. 23.
The set has 180 cards, including 66 Showcase cards, and uses the hashtag #RBRadiance and the three-letter code RAD. Confirmed new Legends include Seraphine, Ziggs, Jarvan IV, Ekko and Evelynn, with four more still unrevealed. Products include booster packs and displays, Seraphine vs. Evelynn Showdown Decks, a Vault Bundle and Pre-Rift kits.

Radiance will also include a new Ultimate Rare card, though that card was not revealed in this update. Instead, the team showed Ekko, Boy Who Shattered Time, as an early look at one of the set’s new Legend cards.

Legacy starts 2027 with regions, draft changes and clearer rules text
Legacy is Set 6 and the first major Riftbound release of 2027. It is built around champions representing regional identity, with Demacia, Noxus, Ionia, Piltover/Zaun, Freljord and Bilgewater all carrying through the set’s champions, mechanics and card feel.
The set has 346 cards, including 93 Showcase cards, and uses #RBLegacy and the code LGC. Its first preview beat is planned for Convergence Fest on Dec. 13-15, followed by more previews in January. Pre-Rift runs Jan. 22-28, and release is Jan. 29, 2027.

Confirmed new Legends are Ashe, Garen, Heimerdinger, Illaoi, Karma, Lux, Tryndamere and Vladimir, with four more still unannounced. Legacy products include booster packs and displays, four Champion Decks for Tryndamere, Ashe, Lux and Garen, a Vault Bundle and Pre-Rift kits.
Legacy changes booster packs and draft support
Starting with Legacy, boosters replace one Common card slot with a dedicated Legend or Battlefield slot at roughly a 50/50 frequency. That means Legacy and later booster packs will contain six Common cards instead of seven. Showcase Legends and Battlefields will still appear in Overnumber slots, not in the new dedicated slot.
Legacy is also being positioned as Riftbound’s first set designed around draft. The set will use overlapping champion synergies and lower-rarity signpost cards to make limited strategies easier to recognize while drafting.
Stores will also receive updated Rune Kits with a new Minion unit card. Minions are meant to be available like Runes, giving limited players a way to reach the 25-card minimum if a draft deck comes up short.

Legacy updates card templating
Legacy also introduces important templating updates that should matter to anyone tracking Riftbound rules. The most visible changes are a grey backer for targets in rules text and a new arrow that separates the condition of a triggered ability from the effect that happens after the trigger.

The word “play” is also being tightened. Token creation will use “Create” instead of “Play,” cards that previously used “When you play me” will move to “When I enter,” and “when you play a card or spell” will refer to finalization rather than resolution. Kelly Digges from the Game team summed up the change by saying, “Play goes from 4 meanings to 1.2 meanings.”

Legacy will also include League Classic-inspired art on cards, adding another visual callback for players familiar with earlier League of Legends aesthetics.

Proving Grounds, 2nd Edition follows Legacy in February
Proving Grounds, 2nd Edition arrives on Feb. 19, 2027, shortly after Legacy. The boxed product features four decks built around Heimerdinger, Karma, Vladimir and Illaoi, all Champions appearing in Legacy.
The second edition will not include cards that cannot be found in booster packs. Its confirmed languages are English, Chinese, French and Korean, and its price is listed at $40.

- Four Champion decks
- Four Oversized Battlefields
- Four paper playmats
- Four Chibi score trackers
- One rulebook
The Reckoning brings ancient power in April
The Reckoning is Set 7 and the second major Riftbound release of 2027. Its theme centers on dormant behemoths and some of League of Legends’ largest champions. The set has 264 cards, including 67 Showcase cards, and uses #RBReckoning and the code REC.
The Reckoning Pre-Rift window is Apr. 23-29, with release on Apr. 30, 2027. Confirmed new Legends are Aurelion Sol, Cho’Gath, Shyvana, Vayne and Zilean, with four more still to come. Products include booster packs and displays, Shyvana and Vayne Champion Decks, a Vault Bundle and Pre-Rift kits.

Set 8 points toward Bandle City
Set 8 does not have a final name yet, but it is planned for Q3 2027. The official tease points toward Bandle City, Yordle champions, magical mischief and a more immersive set identity.
The creative work for Set 8 included an in-person concept push at Riot’s Los Angeles campus. The revealed concept pieces are exploratory, meaning they are not guaranteed to appear directly on cards, but they do show the tone the team is pursuing.

Set 9 remains mostly secret
Set 9 is scheduled for Q4 2027, but the team is holding back nearly every detail for now. The tease included wording that strongly points toward the Shadow Isles, though the set’s name, champions, dates, mechanics and product lineup have not been announced.

The next major checkpoints are the Aug. 14-17 T1 Signature Set drawing sign-up, the start of Radiance previews at RQ Los Angeles, the Oct. 23 Radiance release and the Dec. 4 Gift of the Rift launch. After that, Legacy previews should define the first real look at Riftbound’s 2027 direction.
Legacy is the most important competitive and collection update in the roadmap because it changes booster structure, limited play support and card templating at the same time.
